ABOUT THE RETREAT:
The Wire Ranch is a Hallmark establishment wrestled from the Kansas prairie in 1863 and expanded in early 1900 by William Quinten Daniels a farmer, rancher and inventor. His stepson Frank Harwood was the current owner's grandfather. The seventh generation of pioneer descendants live and work and play in the shade of the same trees that sheltered settling ancestors. You may walk the prairie, sit in the shade, sip herbal tea from the garden, observe wildlife and farm life while you gaze the same landscape that has inspired this family of Kansas for over 140 Years.

INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Melinda Harwood has been Nationally Certified in Massage and Bodywork Therapies since 1992. She taught Hydro-therapy and Spa Modalities at the Kansas Massage Institute in Topeka. She is a Consultant in the Spa Industry and has coached dozens of Massage Therapists. Her massage practice spans 19 years, and thousands of therapeutic sessions. Melinda is completing the Souljourners Spiritual Direction instruction at Mount St Scholastica in Atchison. She is registered with Spiritual Directors International at www.sdiworld.org
